Today, our team had the privilege of collaborating with a professor and a student from Georgia Tech to advance the development of an innovative product designed to address Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib) a complex and prevalent heart condition that impacts millions of people worldwide.
This collaborative effort represents one of the most rewarding parts of what we do: bridging industry expertise with academic innovation. These sessions allow us to bring our real-world experience in product development, engineering, and commercialization to teams who are exploring early-stage ideas. At the same time, we gain valuable insight from the creativity, curiosity, and fresh perspectives that students and faculty bring to every discussion.
Throughout the day, we worked side-by-side to explore key aspects of the product’s design, usability, and potential clinical impact. Conversations ranged from early concept refinement and prototyping strategies to user-centered design principles and the regulatory pathways that lie ahead. It was an exciting exchange of ideas grounded in a shared goal translating innovative concepts into solutions that can make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.
Beyond the technical collaboration, this experience underscored the power of mentorship and knowledge-sharing. Engaging with the next generation of engineers and innovators is not just about providing guidance it’s about learning together, encouraging curiosity, and nurturing the mindset that drives true innovation. These moments remind us why we do what we do: to inspire, to connect, and to help shape technologies that improve health and well-being.
We left the session energized by the creativity and commitment of our Georgia Tech partners, and deeply appreciative of the opportunity to contribute to their journey. It was a fulfilling day of innovation, mentorship, and meaningful connection and a testament to the impact that can be achieved when academia and industry come together to tackle complex challenges in healthcare.
